Waiting in Line

Hello friends. So, I realize it’s been a long time since I’ve written to you, and I apologize. I’ve had a lot going on recently. Lucky for you, I’m stuck waiting in line at the Apple store…so why not write a post while I’m at it?

I did promise in my last blog to tell you all about my internship. Like some people say, there’s no better time than the present. So here goes.

I’m interning with the Public Affairs department of Dow AgroSciences. It’s pretty fabulous. I get to write, edit, event plan, present and all kinds of other fun stuff. I feel like I have an interesting perspective since I just switched into a communication major this semester. It’s even more interesting because I came from an animal science major. I’m learning a lot and having a great time doing it.

We’ve had meetings at places like the Indiana Museum of Art and the Indiana State Museum. I feel like I’m being a bit spoiled. I have a feeling that I will definitely look at going back to DAS (we love our acronyms) after I graduate.

Another thing going on in my life…that isn’t going so well, is the car search. Do you know how flippin’ hard it is to find a small SUV (i.e. Ford Escape or Jeep Patriot) that is a manual. It’s ridiculous! And one would think that with gas prices the way they are, the car companies would be making more of the manuals. But no, no such luck for me. So the search continues. Sometimes I think I would much rather re-break my ankle than continue trying to find another car.

Ok, well I’m still in line at Apple, but I’ve run out of things to say. So, I’m going to head out. I will do my best to write more frequently once my internship is over on August 15. (They keep me awfully busy, but I like it). Perhaps tomorrow night I will find time to tell you how the Neil Diamond concert was.

Ciao!

But the wait at the Apple was SO worth it! HD crash? NP. Just buy a new one online and put it in yourself. You’ll be 4x’s as fast and twice as big in about as long as it takes you to say Apple rocks my socks.

    Word.
